About
James S. Butler, M.D., FACOG, was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Science from Tulane University in 1979. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi, where he received his medical degree in 1983. He completed his internship and residency in 1987 at the University of South Alabama and began his OB/GYN practice that same year.
Dr. Butler is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a diplomate of the Federal Licensing Examination Board. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Alabama Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Houston County Medical Society.
